Organic, I never knew I'd be able to tell the difference

When I went into Asda on Saturday morning, would you believe an outfit that size had no semi skimmed milk except organic, 2 pts for 95p.

The stuff I buy usually is 4 pints for a pound, but needing milk for my cappuccino fix on my return home, I bought it.

I was particularly happy, because a new batch of coffee had arrived from specialist coffee roasters Coffee Real

which included Mexican, one I'm particularly fond of.

Sat down to my first cup and from the first sip, I thought there's something decidedly different about this. Indeed there was, the milk had a distinctly pleasant and milky flavour. Now I know you think milk tastes like milk, but if you drink semi or fully skimmed milk, you're taking away a lot of the flavour by removing the fat content.

This organic stuff was just packed with flavour and it complemented the coffee perfectly, thus making an already stonking cup if coffee even moreso.

The bottle of milk I used over three days and each cup tasted as good as the previous, so it wasn't just my palate on a particular day.

I've bought organic stuff in the past and have to say a bit like when I watch HD telly, I can't really tell the difference.

As for organic milk, I have to say I'm converted where my morning cappuccinos are concerned, especially as I had to buy my usual in the local shop last night and this morning frothy tasted nice, but lacked that eyebrow lifting wow factor.
